WNYC'S 'SPINNING ON AIR' WITH DAVID GARLAND

Singer-songwriter Reuben Butchart joined forces with poet John William Carroll and an eclectic chamber orchestra to develop and record an art song cycle at Robert Wilson's Watermill Center. Butchart and The Millworkers perform in New York City for an in-studio session on WNYC's Spinning On Air with David Garland.

NAMELESS & AWAKE
WATERMILL RESIDENCY SESSIONS

"The Gull and I" – the lead single from the album Nameless and Awake – was recorded, arranged and produced on location during a residency at Robert Wilson's Watermill Center. Setting the poems of John William Carroll, singer-songwriter and composer Reuben Butchart collaborated with a group of eclectic musicians to make orchestral arrangements during the recording process.
